Plant Lab Toolkit

Original calculation code independently written by Shoaib Munir for smbajwa.com; no third-party runtime or calculation code. Formula sources are Livak & Schmittgen (2001), Pfaffl (2001), MIQE (2009), Wallace et al. (1979), and SantaLucia (1998), with full citations and DOI links in the methods file. No Primer3 code, parameter files, interface, or executable are included.

Scope and limits by tool

Emerging Journals Database 2026

The citation score is an OpenAlex two-year measure, not a Journal Impact Factor. Supplied quartiles are presented as supplied and are not endorsements or quality verdicts. No Clarivate, Scopus, CAS, Journal Impact Factor, blacklist, watchlist, or cover-image data are included; the warning-list field remains disabled because redistribution terms are unclear. Listings and metrics can be incomplete.

Abstract-to-Journal Matcher

Lexical similarity is a discovery lead, not an acceptance prediction, ranking, endorsement, quality score, or substitute for reading a journal’s current aims and scope. No Clarivate, Scopus, CAS, or Journal Impact Factor values are used.

Journal Trust Profile

The profile is not an endorsement, blacklist, legal finding, or substitute for current journal policies. Missing metadata is not evidence of misconduct. It includes no Clarivate, Scopus, CAS, JIF, blacklist, or watchlist data.

OA & APC Explorer

Fees and waivers are publisher declarations in DOAJ, not quotes or live currency conversion. OpenAlex counts are context, not quality measures. No OpenAPC, Clarivate, Scopus, CAS, or Journal Impact Factor data are integrated, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Identifier & Citation Toolkit

Metadata can be incomplete or conflicting, and no identifier database proves a record complete or correct. Follow linked primary sources. ORCID use and trademark status are described above.

Reference Integrity Checker

No database establishes that a paper is error-free. “No alert found” means only that no matching update was returned by the queried source; it does not infer misconduct. Evidence can be missing, delayed, or conflicting.

Plant Lab Toolkit

For research planning only. Verify formula assumptions and laboratory protocols. The Wallace method is a rough short-oligo screen; primer melting-temperature output is not primer design or specificity analysis.
