How to use
- Paste numbers or upload CSV.
- Enter value and optional grouping column names.
- Calculate, inspect, and export the table.
Worked example
Load the example CSV, use value as the value column and group as the grouping column, then compare each group’s n, mean, median, SD, confidence interval and flagged observations.
About and limitations
SD uses n−1, quartiles use type-7 interpolation, and outliers use the 1.5×IQR rule. Student-t critical values are computed for the exact sample degrees of freedom; very small groups produce wide or undefined intervals. Flags do not justify deleting observations, and descriptive summaries do not test hypotheses. See methods.
Frequently asked questions
Which standard deviation is used?
Sample SD with n-1 denominator.
How are quartiles calculated?
Type-7 inclusive linear interpolation.
Are outliers removed?
No; 1.5 IQR flags are informational.
How is the confidence interval calculated?
A two-sided t-based 95 percent interval around the mean.
Is data uploaded?
No; processing stays in the browser.
